About The Position

SpacePointe is looking for a dynamic, hands-on Quality Assurance Lead/Manager who has a passion for quality and teamwork!

Responsibilities

  • Define, document, and improve Quality Assurance testing plans standards, tools, procedures, and guidelines while considering manual testing, automated testing, and framework based testing option
  • Work closely with management to articulate QA results so that decisions can be made based on quantifiable QA test data and the potential risks from elements like test holes, labs or boundary conditions
  • Requires a very good understanding of the product architecture to comprehend the requirements and incorporate them into the QA plans to develop a formal QA testing program
  • Identify appropriate test strategies, test environment requirements and activities based on application-specific technical and functional characteristics. Implement QA industry standards/best practices with defined benchmarks and measures
  • Identify and implement QA tools to reduce dependence on product specialized knowledge
  • Establish standards for reporting and tracking of defects and their resolution
  • Strategize QA Plans, define QA tasks, and create and manage QA estimates
  • Be a liaison between Sales, Marketing, Support and the management team. Should show the ability to fit right in and jive well with all personalities while getting things done. Should be assertive and a team player looking out for the best interest of the company at large
  • Provide hands-on leadership, and be responsible for an existing QA team in India
  • Experience with an Agile approach where requirements, programming, and testing are often done concurrently

Qualifications

  • Deep expertise in automated functional, performance and stability testing of software-based products and related tools. Experience with transitioning manual testers to automation
  • Knowledge of automated GUI testing, automated backend services testing, cross-browser testing. Current or past in-depth hands-on experience with a major automated software testing suite
  • Expertise defining and using QA metrics to drive increased quality both out of Development and in QA
  • Understanding of basic programming, software development lifecycle, SQL and database structures, IT environments (Exchange, Web Server, Sync, Networking, Azure, AWS)
  • Methodological and analytical approach to problem-solving, test plan development, test case development
  • Experience and expertise in continuous integration and delivery.
  • Understanding and did QA of software that uses Active Directories, Exchange Servers, Web Servers, Office 365, SQL

Management skills

  • Excellent understanding of QA success factors
  • Proven record managing resources allocation effectively
  • Strong team skills and ability to articulate issues and requirements, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong management and coordination skills, including the ability to manage individual team members and cross-functional team dynamics
  • Understanding of project/QA KPIs and agile style progress reports
  • Driving projects in an Agile environment
  • Experience configuring Bug tracking tools
